5 Awesome Things You Didn’t Know About Five Nights At Freddy’s

Freddie Five Nights is full of Easter eggs and things you missed.

Five Nights at Freddy's was a point-and-click survival horror game that took the gaming world by storm. After launching on PC in August 2014, the fan-beloved horror series has since been released on Mac, iOS and Android, with plans for consoles in the future.

The popular horror series was developed by Scott Cawthon, an unknown indie developer who focuses on creating Christian-themed games. The success of Five Nights at Freddy's came as a surprise, a relatively unknown game that shot to fame after YouTube users uploaded a series of Let's Plays. Markiplier is a YouTuber with over 17 million subscribers, and received over 58 million views on his first Let's Play series. It's a pretty amazing achievement for a developer who was virtually unknown just two years ago.

One of the most impressive things about the series is that Scott Cawthon -- the sole developer of the series -- created five different sequels to the game in just two years! This is almost unheard of in today's game industry, where games are plagued by delays.

Just two years after the first game in the series was released, and with over a billion views on YouTube, it's safe to say the Five Nights of Freddy series has become a household name for the younger generation.
