Outer Wild is a game about exploration and discovery and does a great job of capturing the isolation of space. It looks great, and slowly discovering more information about the mysterious Nomai species will give players enough reason to keep coming back. Each planet has its own mystery, and each mystery has an explanation waiting to be discovered.

What sets this game apart from other space simulators is its innovative gameplay loop. Instead of a long trek, players have 20 minutes to explore before a partial progress reset. This may sound frustrating, but it is very effective, helping to increase the pace of the game while encouraging players to think about how to use their allotted time.
